From Austin to LA to Northern California and now on the East Coast, Camela Widad Kraemer took all the conversations with folks along the way who were wondering how to change the social, political and spiritual scene in their lives and created a new folk rock album; rich, positive and honest.

This mostly accoustic album, has a presence of warmth and strength that comes through clear on this recording. Music that gives lyrical wisdom, syncopated rhythms, unique orchestration and a daring accapella duet on One love, her songwriting ability shines on this album.

Inspiring, clever & risky, "Eve" delivers a variety of styles while staying true to bluesy, soulful roots. Recorded with a core of talented musicians, who's influences color this album with sounds from hard-rock, to African rhythms, sweet harmonies, to Indian & earthy riffs.

Influenced by everything from pop to rock to folk, Widad's ability as a singer songwriter focuses on the universality of the song and how it can touch the hearts of the listener, no matter what kind of music they like.

"Before You're Gone" marks Camela's fifth album and it is her most intimate songwriting to date. Sweeping from rock arrangements, into sparse, low, raspy crooning, Camela sounds as if she's wispering secrets into your ear one minute then pounding your heart, beckoning it to open, the next.

New Album "Before You're Gone"! - May 6, 2009

March & April were magical times in the studio! "Before You're Gone" is due for release in early June and I couldn't be more excited.

I'm in love with this album. With the help, guidance and wisdom Jason Rubal, founder of Seventh Wave Studios, brought to this project I will forever be grateful. Driving, sweet, deep, raspy, playful, and always the harmonies!

EXCITING PART....
After surveying fans and friends about how they "consume" their music these days the votes are in. We will be offering download cards right away and VINYL! That's right old school mixed with new school. Any CD's you ask? Not yet. Most of my fans said this:

"Don't bother with CD's help the environment!"

"Well, I guess when I buy a CD I open it, read everything, listen then pop it onto the computer or ipod and never touch the CD again."
